Jakob Dylan

Just listened to the album "seeing things" for the first time. Its a fantastic album.
Anyways, this album is clearly an album meditating on life in our world currently. It is political. But much like my own mindset for a year and a half and his fathers mindset since 1964 on or so, political and personal mingle. Bob's Another Side was just as political as Times they are a changin, however one was personal, the other political.
Jakob, fuses the two. Every song references war, soldiers and some image of a former society that he seems to harken back to, or want us to return to.
I think more and more my decision to turn my back on my activist past, was the right decision to make. You can still speak your mind as Jakob does, he clearly feels just as pissed off about war and whats happening as his dad did when he wrote Times, or Hard Rain, or Masters of War, its just jakob writes about almost a pastoral way of life. His personal life in a time of war. I would say thats a hell of a political statement
