    agreed.

if it weren't for marijuana, they wouldn't have a fanbase.

hehe, that's funny. oddly enough, i didn't really get into pink floyd until after i'd quit doing that stuff. a lot of my stoner buddies loved them though. they have some good albums, but it's basically only the stretch from meddle to wish you were here. prior to that and from the wall on... so overblown.
    and like that... he's gone.

To be honest their music might have worked while doing some serious doses of acid back in the 60's & 70's. I totally agree that they were "important" at the time and that they "rocked" more than one flower out of some hippie's hair but let's be honest here. If you make someone young listen to this nowadays it's just so ... lame, powerless well it lacks some serious balls!! Pink Floyd is like an old fart that really's not going to smell like parfume no matter how ol' it gets aka they suck!!
  • Any band that is very popular will have many haters. And those haters will be present on this board. RH is the best band going right now. They have the best atmospheric vibe of any band I've ever hear, including Pink Floyd. I love PF, but RH exceeds what PF did in about everyway. Pablo Honey has some good songs, but every album after that are brilliant. Hell, RH's b-sides are brilliant. And Eraser is the best solo album by any band's front man. These guys have just made some of the best music out there. Its definitely more suited to a high-brow music fan's tastes. I mean, you won't find very many of the Posion/ Skynard fan bases that will be into Radiohead - LOL.

i dunno man, there's a reason kids are still buying 'dark side of the moon' on a regular basis. the music has held up with the best of that era.

May be say they are, but only like 3 or 4 hit songs. And if they heard the rest of PF's music, they'd say, "duh... what happened to No Education, duh... this is toooo slow, its lame. Gimme a Coors light, look at dem hooters over der, McDonalds is yummy"

  • Oh, another thing... when I went to the show in Camden, after it was all over, there were people just inhaling balloons, I guess with Nitrous Oxide in it or something? But, either way, I thought Radiohead fans would be smarter than to do that... we literally sat in the Camden parking lot for an hour (because the parking was absolutely terrible), but in this mean time, we saw all these people just running around sucking on balloons, fucking air tanks filling these balloons, people losing their minds... y'know what it reminded me of? A circus. Sorry, just felt like getting that out there.. my brother made a comment like, "If you're going to kill your brain, at least have some class and do Heroin."

..So I guess that's the importance they have on people.
If I could, think I would give in.
