I listen to music 24/7 and I HAVE to listen to it before going to bed.

What are some good bedtime/falling asleep albums?

  • In the last weeks I either listened to:
The Frames- Dance The Devil ... (Or Frames-bootlegs, or simply "Star, Star" on repeat - that song has been made for falling asleep and dreaming wonderful things to it.)
Boy Omega- I Name You Isolation
or my CD full of Wishlist-live and everywhere :D

Best thing is to wake up in the morning, just putting on the stereo and waking up with those songs...
Kids! Bringing about Armageddon can be dangerous. Do not attempt it in your own home.

My sophomore year of college I took to *accidently* taking afternoon naps while listening to music. The three major CD's I was listening to then were Daybreaker by Beth Orton, Scarlet's Walk by Tori Amos, and Riot Act (by some band you've probably never heard of). I was just listening to Daybreaker today and I was immediately taken back to that time in my life. Tori and Beth may not be to the tastes of the average PJ fan, but Beth makes especially good sleeping music.

It's kinda funny that Riot Act always put me to sleep considering that while I loved the album at the time it's now easily my least favorite PJ CD.

  • ( ) is a good one.

Also, one time, in college...neither my roommate nor I could sleep, so she put on an Enya CD. I can't even believe I lived with somone that owned an Enya CD, but that's beside the point.

That shit worked! And we were out within probably 10 or 15 minutes. :D Who knew?

  • I tend to listen to Metallica. Ususally my bedside CD player has Live Shit Buinge and puirge in it. I used to listen ot Dire Straits when I was younger, but now I prefer teh rhythmic pulse of metal.

I'm with you on Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness. I used to listen to that in college. My freshman year, my roommate would always put on James Taylor's greatest hits and that would put us right to sleep. I might try that again...
I wish I was as fortunate, as fortunate as me.
