Sparta

Mars volta-scab dates

Pixies- Bossanova and Terre

Black flag-in my head, my war, slip it in

At the drive in-in casino out

Mudhoney-piece of cake

Bad Brains

Who- by numbers

Black sabbath-self titled, master of reality, 4

Fugazi-in on the kill taker

Sonic Youth-Dirty

Daniel Johnston

Flipper

Any other reccomendations

I am looking sort of for bands that inspired Kurt and Ed.

I am also looking to try out some John Frusciante solo albums. Is he pretty good. I am into bizaare avantegarde experimental stuff. Is he like that?

I have these and are listed in the my preferred order. The Sabbath are essential. Vol 4 is a CD Cornell would have killed to make. I am also going on the assumption that you own some of these artists as well as most of them IMO have better CD's than the ones you listed. Either way, I don't think you can go wrong.

if you want avant garde, don't be afraid to try Buckethead. I don't care what anyone says, this guy is a fucking monster.

If you are looking for Frusciante solo stuff like that, pick up "A Sphere in The Heart Of Silence". Other than this one, the rest of his solo CD's are either amazing acoustic songs or some popy electric songs, but I love all his solo stuff so I will promote any of his solo CD's

My favourites are Shadows Collide With People / The Will To Death / Curtains

Do you have Black Sabbath's Sabotage?

    IMO, their best album.

good choices with the Black Sabbath and yes i would too recommend Sabotage if you dont have it yet.
