Anyone have the scoop on what inspired the new album? Seems they always have interesting inspirations for the albums. Deloused, inspired by the death of jeremy ward. Frances, the bizaare album that blew minds, 5 songs, sing 5 is 30 minutes long and multiple songs are sung bilingually. And Amputecture was inspired by immigration protests and excorcist priests and the pineal gland and of course man's distance from god in modern society.

so what is bedlam about thematically?

Comes out Jan. 29th and it's freakin' amazing. I drove all the way to Columbus OH to see them Saturday only to find out the show is being rescheduled due to illness :(

Isn't Frances based on characters in a diary that Omar found or something? I thought that each song was about a different person in it.

    Perhaps I dreamt that though.

It was a diary found by Jeremy Ward. He was their audio tech who died of a heroin overdose while they were touring on DITC.
