I may get laughed out of here, and this isnt a very punk rock thing to say, especially on a Pearl Jam board, but anyone fond of the song Fields of Gold, by Sting, especially the Eva Cassidy cover version?

Powerful song. It's definetly not a rocker, but I get a lump in my throat when I hear it.

One of the best ballads ever written, I'm with you. And I don't think Pearl Jam would disagree ;)

Even though The Police is definitely better than Sting's solo stuff, most of his solo stuff is better than some people give it credit for. I love Fortress Around Your Heart and Brand New Day (Stevie Wonder on harmonica...nuff said). The latter is one of the best songs ever written,IMO.
