Is it cheaper to buy through amazon, than say going to target or somewhere else.

I have a giftcard to target, and wanted to know, if target sells cd's cheaper at the actual store or online

Target is probably about the same as Amazon after you include shipping. I always go to Best Buy for the $9.99 new releases.
The less you know, the more you believe.

Best Buy is your best bet.
I wish I was as fortunate, as fortunate as me.

I find Amazon can be expensive by the time you add shipping on.
I generally find Play.com the cheapest. Then again I'm in UK so don't about US / rest of Europe.

The question is, is it more fun?

buying used on amazon is always a good deal, thats what i do online.

ebay is good for the more rare stuff.

try finding labels that will sell you their stuff directly, like Willowtip. ten bux for almost any of their cds is a bargain.

edit- i know that thats not really what the original poster was asking, just letting you know...

for older stuff its good to buy used cd's from amazon...i've done it a few times and saved a few bucks. for new stuff i buy from physical retail stores and one in particular.

Amazon doesn't charge shipping if you spend over $25, so I don't see your argument there. Some are more expensive, some are cheaper.
