Are they any good? I am down for any genre of music thats political, and I hear these guys are. But I also read the lyrics to their album released after 9/11 and it seems to me the band got patriotic, and wrote songs about killing the taliban and bombing afghanistan.

Whats the deal with the band? Are they worth a listen?

  • if they reverted back to radical lyrics, good politics after having a lapse in judgement I would consider listening to them. After all both Bruce and Uncle Neil came out after 9/11 and seemed to support the bombing of Afghanistan. Neil even said he supported the patriot act immediately after 9/11. And he supported reagan way back when.

So are their politics back to normal, or do they support the war still?
  • Their debut record is brilliant but their output after that has generally been pretty crap, much like sepultura.

they were interesting for two seconds in 1998. "back to the primitive, fuck all your bullshit". worst lyrics ever. super generic nu-metal.
