Whats the last cd that blew your mind? I dont mean the last good cd, but the last cd that left your jaw open, and your mind blown.

I think the new pearl jam record and the new tool record as well as the new neil young are all examples.

What is everyone elses?

probably Slayer's Christ Illusion...cos after two slowed down albums before the new one..i din expect a return to their speedy trash style throughout the record.

  • Although it's pretty old I just picked it up.

"THE ANTI-HEROES" American pie. Don't confuse them with wannabe's playing on the name. There from Atlanta and have been around since 84'.

They are now officially my hands down most favorite band.

lets see... the last one was probably the new Robert Randolph cd, Colourblind. Before that, I guess the new Pearl Jam and Chili Peppers. Theres a local band called Moses Mayes and the Funk Family Orchestra, I havent heard thier new cd, but I went to their cd release party. Judging by the new tunes they played, that album is going to melt my brain.

Amazing production, harmony and overall vibe on this album. Potentially better than their "Things Fall Apart" album.

I highly recommend to anyone with taste in music.

Just picked up Beatles - Let It Be....Naked recently, and that was an eye-opener. Specifically how stripped down the Long and Winding Road is. Much more emotional and open without all the backing orchestra.
"You're no help," he told the lime. This was unfair. It was only a lime; there was nothing special about it at all. It was doing the best it could.

To be honest i was thinking the same thing with regards to tenacious d, but each to their own i suppose.

Whats mind blowing for some people might be pretty crap to others!

I said Takk and () by sigur ros, and i have to stand by that. Listening to () just now and it really is something else, maybe the nicest sounding musical act i have ever heard.
People say im paranoid. Well, they dont say it, but i know that's what they are thinking.
  • I have to agree... Sigur Rós was pretty mind blowing the first time I heard 'em... and Takk... just wouldn't get out of my cd player back in damn... when'd that come out? 2005... shiiiit... I thought it came out like early on in the year... what month did Takk... come out in?

And for me... when I know a cd is mind blowing is when I can't stop listening to it..
If I could, think I would give in.
