I was at a Badly Drawn Boy show a few weeks ago and when Damon took the stage he took it to the Sinatra song "I Would Be In Love Anyway".... and right as the first chorus hit, I knew that I had to hear this song again. I did some research and found out the song I heard at the show was from Frank Sinatra's 1970 "rock" album Watertown. Promptly I searched the interweb and downloaded the entire album. Since then I have heard some more Sinatra and have enjoyed it. I was amazed to hear that he was making concept albums back in 1955! Wow!

I swear I'm the only person alive, but I don't care for him. I just find that style of music so incredibly bland. He was a great showman and all, but those songs all sound the same to me and I have a hard time respecting an artist who never wrote any of his "trademark" songs.

that's totally cool............different stroke etc.........:).............as for the songwriting, it was a different time in music where very few singers wrote their own music..........and Frank had a lot to do with the arrangement on the songs he sang.......:)

  • I love Sinatra.

His music always gives me a warm, nice feeling.
  • I love Frank Sinatra.

My Grandad was my biggest childhood idol after Ed Vedder and he used to play Sinatra in the car when I visited him, so.... yeah, memories :D
