Metallica-the early days.

The first 4 metallica albums, and then the Black Album, are all basically masterpieces. The later albums not so much.

I get the feeling of fall/autumn, and leaves changing colors and halloween when I listen to these records. Sanitarium gives me chills and I cant help but think of fall as I said, but also the WM3 murders.

One is mindblowing, with the powerful lyrics, the chilling guitar chords at the start and of course the guitar solos in the latter half of the song

harvester of Sorrow seems to be describing some horrific crime.

Early Metallica definitely doesnt bring to mind flowers, and sunshine, and peace.

But these early albums are hard to beat.

True, but don't under-rate Load and Reload. BOth these albums are loaded with very good songs.
Garage Inc is the best covers album you will find.

"Ronnie" is one of the best school massacre songs you will ever hear.

"one" is a brilliant song, not written as an anti-war song, but definitely is teh best there is, esp in these days of severly head-injured soldiers coming back from Iraq.

i love them all, but yeah the early ones are my favs. i say that but i probably listen to load/reload/st. anger the most. i guess i listened to the early ones so many times. im excited for their new album.
