I cannot stop listening to Eyes these days.

Man, Sub Pop has some fabulous bands.

    I saw them a while back - wasn't too familiar with them at the time, but they were really good. I'd like to see them again now that I know some of their stuff.

    Same here... I was only vaguely familiar with Descended Like Vultures when I saw them. I'd love to see them again!

    seriously, anyone who has never heard of em should check them out. they're on the sub pop label, and have a sound similar to the shins, combined with simon and garfunkel, combined with new wave. can't really pinpoint their sound, but a great indie band and def worth more than a few listens. their latest, from 2005, descended like vultures is awesome.

    Anyone pick up the new album that came out today? I highly recommend it. I'm liking it better than Descended Like Vultures so far.

    bought it, but haven't listened to it yet save for the two songs that will probably be singles off it. lake michigan is awesome! plus, i bought it at newbury comics and it came with a free 7" vinyl which was pretty sweet. I might go see em next month in Boston. Highly recommended to all.

    i havent got around to picking up their new album, but their Descended Like Voltures album is great , i lsiten to it all of the time . Salsesman at the day of the Parade is my favorite song from that album. they are a really good band out today

    I got the 7" vinyl from newbury as well, pretty sweet.

    Did they replace a member or something? I'm looking at the picture on the back of the record sleeve and they don't all look how I remember them.

    Yup. I think they got a new bassist if im not mistaken.

    A couple reviews said the second half of the new album pales in comparison to the first half--- they obviously haven't given a good enough listen to "Phonytown." This song is one of their fucking best!!! Pure 60s pop with a little Floyd thrown in. This song fucking rocks.
