Ok, I'm a day late and a dollar short on this but I finally checked this incredible guitar duo from Mexico out last nite............they fucking FLOORED me! I liken their sound to that of some other extraordinary world renowned guitarists:
John McLaughlin, Paco de Lucia and Al DiMeola! Now those 3 did a tour I caught back in 1981, they did a live recording and named it aptly, "FRIDAY NIGHT IN SAN FRANCISCO". Back to the present: to hear Rod and Gab it's as if they're continuing the 'sound' of flamenco, jazz infuzed TOTALLY FUCKING EXCITING guitar playing...........
