The Syd Barrett tribute show at the Barbican in London this evening (Thursday) promised some unnamed guests... and they turned out to be very special additions to the bill!

The event, organised by Joe Boyd, included people such as Robyn Hitchcock, Chrissie Hynde, and Kevin Ayers.

To the delight of the audience, already having a great time at a wonderful, affectionate tribute to Syd, the additional guests included none other than Roger Waters, who performed Flickering Flame with Jon Carin, closing the first half, and David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Richard Wright took care of the end of the second half, performing Arnold Layne, before closing the show with most of the other performers, with a rousing rendition of Bike!

Full details and more pictures Friday morning...

So, it wasn't a reunion, it seems... and Rog did not play on Bike, either. Which is really ridiculous that they couldn't pull it together for a fucking Syd Barrett Tribute Show.

But, whatever.

Pink Floyd (minus Roger) play Arnold Layne
