Can you believe it? For those who don't know the ACC is where the Totonro Maple Leafs play and hold I guess somewhere in between 15,000-20,000. Even Pearl Jam didn't sell out the ACC in 2005 (although they did have many shows in Ontario at the time).

It just shows what bad taste people have in music.

Maybe it's because they're from Canada. I know a band like Godsmack used to sell out Boston area venues because they're from here but had mediocre ticket sales elsewhere. And the ACC probably holds closer to the 20,000 than 15,000, perhaps even more. After all, it is a building for hockey in Canada. The real story would be if the Raptors sold out the ACC.

Other than this year the Raptors used to sell out quite regularly I think...

you know they could just be going to see Danko Jones. it's a thought.

and if not can you blame them? I mean when Jesus is teh frontman for a band you have to excpect a big following. Look what his did with his debut (the whole Bible thing) big big seller

yeah i can believe it, not surprising at all. "commercial music" is called that for a reason, because it's all about commerce and making money. bands like that can't play music to save themselves, but making music isn't what they're about, making $ is what they're about, and credit where credit's due, they're pretty damn good at it obviously.

then there are the very very rare artists who are so fucking brilliant that they can sell just as many tickets based almost entirely on their musicianship. like tool who very rarely get played even on less main-stream radio here selling out melbourne park, 15,000 tickets, in 3 minutes
if you love somebody, set them free. if somebody loves you, don't fuck up

What's a nickleback? Why do you know what the singer looks like? Why do you know his name? You should hang your head in shame.
It doesn't matter if you're male, female, or confused; black, white, brown, red, green, yellow; gay, lesbian; redneck cop, stoned; ugly; military style, doggy style; fat, rich or poor; vegetarian or cannibal; bum, hippie, virgin; famous or drunk-you're either an asshole or you're not!

Title of this thread should just read "Nickelback sells out..." :)
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

    lmao.

i wonder how long it will take people to realize that nickelback just makes the same song over and over and over again...

or maybe they know and don't care... *shrugs*

you have to have integrity (or at least good music to sell) to sell out.

    i think that's a physical impossibility ;)
