Has anyone bought tickets 2nd hand from someone that are "electronic tickets". I'm buying a ticket from a fellow 10c member but they were originally emailed from ticketmaster to them and tickets are in PDF format, no actual hard tix were mailed.
Anyway they can't make it so I purchased one off them and they're going to email me the PDF and send hard copy print out through USPS.
i'm not worried about the seller but am a little concerned since I've never used electronic tixket before.
Any suggestions to be cautious of? I hate to be standing at the gate and start crying because my ticket won't scan or whatever becuase I dont have the original print.

I did try a search for this topic but came up empty. Thanks!

my brother was just talking about this saturday... a copy will scan... but if they get their first with an original or a different copy and it's already scanned... you won't get in :( so are you sure you can trust the seller?

As long as you can trust the person your buying the ticket from, then you won't have any problems. I have used printed tickets for many, many shows.

Before long, you won't be able to get hard tickets anymore. Ticketbastard was talking about going to all electronic tickets in the near future.

    cool, thanks for the feedback.

They she seems trustworthy but I could see how people could get easily screwed by this method. Some turd could be selling the same seats over and over again on ebay or in the lot.

My Ed Vancouver ticket was electronic and it was all good.
Just make sure you trust the person you're buying it from.

seems odd to me that someone with the user name Bigballs would break down and cry :D

I assume you will not get the hard tickets in time, but just in case... I think the hard tickets are voided when the e-tickets are printed, so don't assume the hard tickets will work if you get them in the mail. You'll be fine as long as the seller isn't a real bastard.

when we went to the gorge in 06, my one buddy who was in control of our seats in the pit left them on a newspaper stand in seattles airport. needless to say, we never got those tickets back but had to get his gf to fax us the tickets in the middle of nowhere. after 45 minutes of waiting we got the tickets. the tix were the electronic ones and came out in such a bad way that there was no way that the barcode would be read with the scanner. the ticket scanner at the gate tried 3 times but didnt get to register so she typed in the number for the barcode and we were good to go.
as long as theyre not fake tickets, you shouldnt have a problem getting in.
Small my table, seats just 3, its not crowded, its just lucky me
