Sigur Ros are amazing. Takk grows on me every time I listen to it, the melodies wrap themselves around your brain.

If you've got some time, check out the webcast of a show they did in Reykjavik:

I'm amazed at how well they pull their stuff off live.
"You're no help," he told the lime. This was unfair. It was only a lime; there was nothing special about it at all. It was doing the best it could.

They are pretty good, but Takk... really did not do anything for me.

If you have an opportunity to see them live i strongly urge it. I saw them and only had heard one album () and man i became such a fan. They are an impressive live act.

I don't think the lights are too crazy but they have a nice little light show. The coolest thing is they do part of the concert behind a sheet so they are big shadows behind it. I thoguht that was cool

  • i first heard them when i saw the movie 'the life aquatic with steve zissou'. they use the song 'staraflur' in the scene towards the end where they encounter the jaguar shark. it was a really beautiful scene and the song worked perfectly. i bought 'agaetis byrjun' and i think it's great.
