so I was just listening to Masters of War and realized that I don't know what album the original version is off of. does this happen to you guys ever? I mean I haven't heard the original Crazy Mary either, and as for Gimmie some truth I only heard that long after hearing OJ do it. the only ones that they do regularly that I know are RITFW, know your rights and fortunate son. so if nothing what album is masters or war off?

  • Wait, are you joking? Cuz those are all covers as has just been pionted out. The "originals" done by PJ are all on soundtracks, compilations or tributes.

"Masters of War" - Bob Dylan Tribute Album
    "Crazy Mary" - Sweet Relief
"Leavin Here" - Home Alive: The Art of Self-Defense
"Gimme Some Truth" - beats me, it's a Lennon song....

I'd highly recommend searching out the original version of Timeless Melody by the La's. They only have one album, titled the La's. Great album. PJ played Timeless Melody a few times on the '00 tour, and once in '04.

ya lost me, I wasn't asking where the original PJ version is from but rather where the original original was from, like masters of war being from teh freewheelin bob dylan and Gimmie some truth being from Imagine etc

Nope. I Got Shit/ID is on Merkinball, and Rearviewmirror. Not a cover, since its a PJ release. Not on Ragged Glory.
