Definitely, love it. Got it since day one and still have that vinyl... actually haven't upgraded it to cd, simply 'cause there's almost no need for that.
    Awesome record.

Just recently bought Greatest Hits as I fancied getting into his stuff.

I must say I am pretty impressed thus far.

I almost bought the Full Moon Fever album but opted instead for GH.

    What a wuss.

Go get Full Moon Fever!!! I too have the GH...and that is solid...no question. But to hear Full Moon Fever is just something all together different than the GH....totally worth it.

Full Moon Fever is good but Wildflowers is the best IMO.

Guess I agree... though I keep a special fascination for the songs he did for the movie She's the One... and of course Damn, the Torpedoes.

Hello, Tom... Come down, Tom... :D Maybe he really heard us! LMAO

You always got to be Ready For Petty. He's always kept the integrity that PJ has (and got started way before, too). He fought the record label on pricing WAY back when:

"Their fourth album, Hard Promises, also had a difficult gestation, as Petty battled the record company again. This time the issue was the album’s list price, which MCA wanted to raise by one dollar over the prevailing rate of $8.98. “If we don't take a stand, one of these days records are going to be $20,” Petty argued in 1981, unwittingly foreshadowing the latter-day era of CDs. Standing up for the long-suffering rock fan, Petty held firm and won that skirmish, too. By their fifth album, Long After Dark (1982), the band had become an incomparably tight, well-oiled unit – and one in need of a little risk-taking, by Petty’s reckoning."

I've been a fan since the beginning... gee, I was a young pup then. :)
