Unfortunately, Vince got kind of f'd over by the Dead during the reunion tours (specifically, not being invited to the 'family reunion'), doesn't sound like he ever got over that. Thats a shame, all that I've read today said that his years with the Grateful Dead gave him a lot of joy, the postcript is a shame.

Quite a few losses in the dead camp recently: Ramrod, their main stage hand , Hamza El-Din, who was an celebrated drummer in his own right, played a number of times with the dead, and with Mickey Harts solo projects, and of course Vince.

RIP Vince, here's hoping you've found peace. Black Muddy River, Roll...
"You're no help," he told the lime. This was unfair. It was only a lime; there was nothing special about it at all. It was doing the best it could.
