Ok so the album i wanted to put up - i couldnt, ill save it for next time if im still about. i couldnt put it up as my brother has it with him, the silly punk.

So i was thinking of albums i could put up instead (im not gonna say which it was gonna be so actually can use it next time :)) n i thought, maybe grinspoon? mm no i decided against it. so i ended up going through my cds and i thought not many of you would know of machine gun fellation unless ur from australia or really into ur aussie music.

so this album - i enjoy it. does it absolutely blow my mind like an album such as aenima, the wall, relationship of command, vs or siamese dream? - the answer is no unfortunately. but this album should be enjoyable at least, well i hope. although there could be a few of u who despise it.

now this album is regarded as "weird" i guess by many of my mates, but its groovy, makes u wanna dance (even if u dont like to dance), singalong... and not only that it will take u to pussy town - literally!.

im not gonna say much more about the album, i wanna see what u guys think from ur first impressions, and what not.

im just uploading it now - im really sorry that its in WMA format as my itunes isnt working at the moment... why? i have no clue. so hopefully everyone will be able to play these.

hope u enjoy the music :)

 tell us all about it :D

from the band name and reading the song titles i expected some standard punk band...
but this album is all over the place...
    i like their lo-fi grooves...
"my ex-girlfriend's boyfriend" is pretty funny... i bet they are fun to watch live... haha, "(let me be) your dirty fucking whore" is a cool take on "bohemian rhapsody" :D
but overall, i enjoy their less piss-taking songs more...
"all of them ladies" is my favourite because it seems to combine most of the elements of their music...
i like how they mix it up, the album doesn't get boring...

I have an E mail adress and I have a password. If I click on the E-mail adress I get a empty page to send a mail. Do I have to send the password? and will I then get a link send to my e-mailadress?

I like the first song the best so far.....I don't like some of the stuff like "pussy town" or that second to last song however.

There are a few songs on here that indeed make me want to dance. And I don't dance. Ever. However there is a time when songs like some of the ones on here I have to listen to. I like the quick pick me up that I get from songs like Pussy Town, Just B'COZ and damnit can't think of the title (around the 8th or 9th track). Of course there is the occasional throw away on here like the f-ing whore tune but I enjoyed more than I disliked.

I have difficulty listening to an entire CD like this as the mood comes and goes too quickly. Kinda like a caffeine high. I get that quick fix and then off to the music I traditionally listen to. So it's cool to know that I have 'other' options as I really only have a half dozen CD's like this.

My ex-girlfriends boyfriend.....this guy still sounds broken up about the whole thing. He either is or maybe he just finished up watching Adam Sandler in the Wedding Singer.

All the parties and Chase the Dragon sound like Menomena - don't know if anyone knows about them - but besides that this thing is all over the place...how many vocalists are there ?
I think it lags a bit in the latter half...the album should have been shorter. But swede like you said the album is groovy and the song-titles are fabulous.
The first 5 songs are great fun...Take it slow could be a Jamiroquai song and that "i'm ok, you're not ok, i'm not ok..." part in Wot U Got is pretty cool. Maybe I'm in the minority but I find (Let Me Be Your) Dirty Fucking Whore absolutely hilarious. In all quite a fun album.

haha u sum it up pretty well - i dont know menomena?? *shrugs*

and transplant i can definitely relate to what ur talking about. thing is - this album isnt an album ill throw on every week or whatever - but i love it when i play it just when the mood is right. some great party tunes on there in my view, always puts people in a good mood :)

also vocalists? 4 im pretty sure :) but then again how many do architecture in helsinki have? and they blow my mind :)

I have listened to this album a few times and I can not decide whether to hate them or to like them. I am all for this black or white delema, but it makes it kind of hard to place a post.

I will give it my final listen tomorrow. I hope I will have something to say by then.

also i think (let me be your) dirty f#!@ing whore is a great song - funny as anything - so whether we are in the minority or not - it doesnt matter haha

Sorry I really tried to like it. But apart from some moments it is not for me. I guess it lacks a little too much rock for me.

  • man, I'm so sorry for being late on this. Hectic few weeks.

I did get a chance to go through it though, and I must say, this was kind of a surprise on many factors. First, I lived in Oz, but never knew (or remember, anyway)this band. Second, the sound was a lot lo-fi than I thought. And third, I seem to like it. ;)

There isn't much to add to what everyone's said, but this is a very fun album indeed. It fiddles around with all kinds of grooves, from soul to electro-clash/punk, and it all fits in quite well. The beat is certainly very danceable, and all in all a very lively effort. Thanks for the intro, swede, I think I might see if I can get a copy of this.:)

But I certainly wouldn't have minded seeing good old Grinspoon in the SMC! lol That band brings back memories.;)

    Cheers.
