If I met Ed, I would ask him what he's been listening to lately. And I would thank him for inspiring me.

I would ask him how tall he is- and invite him to a barbeque at Golden Gardens.

But really- I don't want to embarrass him, so I wouldn't go on about how much his music has changed my life.
    But it has.
    for the better ;)

LOL! i remember watching the touring band DVD at my sis-in-law's; she's not a fan, but when she saw him walking out in those "white pants," she made me rewind... more than once.

  • do people really hang out to talk to ed after his shows (or I should say are planning on it)? I wouldn't have a clue what to say to him. I'd be like "hi, you're awesome." I once hung out to tell this local musician I loved his stuff, and even that was really awkward.

  • For real, you people who get starstruck are ridiculous. They are just as normal as us.

They just have a cooler job! :)

Ask him what he is into music-wise, as that is the only thing you will have immediately in common, and then wait for a response. It's not like a choir of midget angels is gonna come down singing the "Hallelujah" part of Do The Evolution.

    Although that WOULD be cool....

Let me ask you what you do for a living, and then my follow up question is, when do you think you might be getting that done?

    I'm sure Ed's number is 1, Jeff's is 2, Stone's is 3, Mike's is 4, Dave Krusen's is 5, Matt Chamberlain's is 6, Dave Abruzzeses's is 7, Jack Iron's is 8, Matt Cameron's is 9 and Boom Gaspar's is 10.

Boom is 10? coincidence? I think not

how about you leave him alone and quit idolizing people. hes a human just like anyone.

No... not really. He's Ed... and the rest of us are... well, the rest of us.
I usually save that comment for Neil Young... because in Neil Young's case... He's Neil Young and everybody else is just everybody else. Which is definately, true.
But, either way... These guys aren't just reg'lur Joes that no one gives a crap about... like you or me. And yeah... no idol worshipping. But, I think most people here aren't idol worshippers. They are simply reg'lur Joes and Janes whose been either touched or moved by the words and music.
So, I hope people get to meet Ed. He's a nice guy and not the over sensitive wussy recluse that so many people make him out to be. Just be yourself and don't have a spaz attack... unless you are a spaz and are always have spaz attacks. If that's the case, then I suggest you pretend that you are someone cool.

ADD: Just cut out with the pictures. Ed doesn't seem to like have his picture taken.
