Although that is a very bad line up I would say the bright spot is definitely "Atmosphere". Now I haven't enjoyed much rap music since Dr. Dre's 'Chronic 2001' (oh come on you know you liked it too) but Atmosphere is quite talented. I'd suggest you check out the song "Guns and Cigarrettes", it sounds cliche but it is impressive. Perhaps that is not enough to make you want to go though.
    Which came first,
the bad idea or me befallen by it?

Mates of State and Metric would be good, but they'll probably get short sets which don't make it worth putting up with the rest of it.

What's the deal with rap artists headlining former rock festivals? Same thing with HFStival in Baltimore this year. http://www.hfstival.com/lineup/

Yeah, that line-up doesn't look that great, yet. Give it time. Bumbershoot is still a long ways away.

I fucking hate Kanye West. What an arrogant egotistical bastard he is.

Kanye is refreshing, but I agree. I don't know if I'd go see him. He seems to be more about causing ripples than being an MC. As far as current rappers go, like I said, he's different and mostly positive, but there are many better. I'd see Tribe in a heart beat, but I grew up on that shit. The good thing about Kanye is that he gives fresh beats to Common, Kweli, etc.

Matt Costa is Jack Johnson's little protege, anyone going should check him out, he's good.

not bad at all except thats only 9 bands out of the 50 that are playing. and most of those bands will only be playing for 30-45 minutes.

Well, maybe you'd be decently surprised by the rest of them, I might end up going.
