I heard they were naked when they got busted.
I heard things ain't been the same since.
  • Hell yeah, 2 chances to see this great band for me. And props to them for playing the underplayed city of Richmond, they're always starving for good shows in that tow.

I'll be seeing them in Philly. My husband is making me go... :D I have not liked the hold steady, but my husband swears that once I see them live, I will have a change of heart. I'm way more excited to see Art Brut, though.

    lol

I voiced some similar concerns I had to my wife (she's posting in this thread...see if you can spot her.) ;) I wouldnt go so far as to call her a "buzzkill" by any stretch; its not her problem but mine...judging from the pogo-ing, sweating, singing teenybopper that I unwillingly transformed into the last time I saw the Hold Steady (a show which I, needless to say, attended alone), Im just afraid I'll embarrass myself in front of her. Whatever. Maybe she wont want to procreate with me anymore. But would *I* really want to bring another life into this world with a mother that didnt appreciate the transcendant joy that is the Hold Steady?? I think not.

    ;)

that's a difficult decision to make methinks. if she balks, let me know. ill be right in the thick of things pogoing like a tazmanian devil all show. they are so much fun live. my gf doesn't dislike them... she wants to like them. she says they are so fun and it's impossible to dislike their enthusiasm. i just think she flat out can't get on board with craig's vocals. they took me a while to appreciate too, so ill just be patient and in the meantime, enjoy the show myself!
  • Just picked up my pair of tickets! Awwww yeah!
