I realize this is not PJ related but since I know fans post here... the Tragically Hip are touring... I didn't even get an email from their website... but I noticed their tour dates while searching pollstar.com

I am planning on seeing them at the Fillmore in SF...

They are kinda lost on the USA but in Canada they are huge... I like them... they are headlining without the WHO... the fact that they are opening for the Who says something I think... check out...

Day for Night (first album I listened to of theirs and then I was hooked...)
In Violet Light (more recent and pretty easy to like...)

ahahaa... or at least I AM too lazy to read multiple parts of the pit...

or I could make it PJ related... I wish that PJ and TTH would tour together... not really.. two headliners is not good.

Love the Hip! Start with the album Up to Here. Move into Fully Completely. Give the earlier Road Apples a listen. Day for Night next. Then come back here and post your thoughts. Their new stuff hasn't really hit me yet but their early material is timeless.....

The Hip are an awesome Canadian band. I only started listening to them early last year when i couldn't get that song "Fiddlers Green" out of my mind. I wen tout and bought their greatest hits album "Yer Favourites", and it's awesome.

Please, please don't think they're like Nickleback just because their Canadian. The Hip's sound is actually unique, and their songs have some of the best imagery ever.

they fucking rock. im seeing my 10th show at the moore theatre in seattle. i think us canadians underestimate just how big the hip are in the states. they wouldnt represent us at the past woodstocks if lots of americans didnt like em. and in the box set hipeponymous i have there is a poster of a couple of us dates from 2002 it says:

    june 26 philly
    june 27-28 new york
    july 16-17-18-19 chicago

for them to do multiple dates in new york and FOUR n chicago is pretty huge if you ask me. anyways, they are a national treasure and gord is nuts on stage. for those who havent seen him or havent heard. just go. just go see gord. he belongs in a mental hospital at times on stage. its quite something.
