even though it's a great song

I don't think the song is underrated. I love the song. The song has never made me feel badly for something I didn't do.
Cause I'm broken when I'm lonesome
And I don't feel right when you're gone away

Actually I've not seen them, and I'm a big Who fan, they were my favorite band befor the likes of U2 and Pearl Jam came about.

Cherone is a very good singer, in fact when I saw the Roth/Hagar tour a few years back and he guested with Sammy on a few tunes, it was evident he was the best "singer" of the 3 VH vocalists. I actually saw and enjoyed him when he toured with Van Halen. More Than Words is an aberration in my mind, its unfortunate that Extreme is remembered by most strictly for that song, cause they were a pretty good rock band. I remember when the song was released as a single, my buddy's girlfriend at the time bought Pornograffitti and was appalled that the rest of the album was so "loud and heavy" or something and offered it to me.

I bought that album for my sister because she liked More Than Words as well and she had much the same reaction as your buddy's girl. I wound up taking it back and listened to it more than she did.

Would this equate to a guilty pleasure? Love Extreme! I used to love running to Pornograffiti. Ah, the good ole dying days of hair metal.
I love to turn you on

Why a guilty pleasure? You like what you like and shouldn't be embarrassed or feel guilty because of it. I'm proud to say that I will on occasion put that tape in and crank it up! :D
