Believe me, when I was growin up, I thought the worst thing you could turn out to be was normal, So I say freaks in the most complementary way. Here's a song by a fellow freak - E.V

    FYI.

There is a spot on the main stage...

Doors open at 3pm..and only 3 bands are playing the mainstage..

I wonder if there is going to be another band on the main stage.

I hardly ever listen to the End (mostly KISW or occasionally the Funky Monkey for me), so I didn't even hear about till today.. Just got tix for me and the wife though... Wolfmother and Chili Peppers are all I give a shit about, but I'll check out the other bands too and see what's up.. Fuckin A..

That sounds like a pretty cool line up. I only recognize a few bands though. That line up sounds better than our Edgefest this year- the only bands I wanted to see at ours were Seether and the Toadies but both bands only played 45 minute sets and I decided it wasn't worth it to see the two best play a short set. I think I got the better deal when I saw the Toads at the St. Pattricks parade in March. Roughest pit I have ever been in too. Wish I lived in Seattle, I would consider going to this.

The eight-member progressive-rock band The Mars Volta, led by singer Cedric Bixler-Zavala and guitarists Omar Rodriguez-Lopez, left the stage after only 30 minutes when Lopez's guitar cut out and Zavala lashed out at people who were allegedly throwing bottles of urine at the band.

Zavala made a comment about playing at a corporately owned venue on Native American land and stormed off the stage, and his seven band mates followed. For a band that plays 90-minute jam-filled sets, it felt as if the Volta cut their stage time short during the seemingly cursed radio festival.

I thought the Mars Volta was terrible anyways. it was just a big wall of noise. my girlfriend and i had to go get ear plugs.

Eagles of Death metal was insane! i was in the mosh pit, and in the very front row. it kicked ass!

The Subways were awesome too! i hadnt heard any of their music before the show. i was so impressed that i went and bought their CD the very next day!

Chili Peppers were amazing too, Flea is the shit.
