Not quiet as violent as some but still on the instrumental tip
“I know this song so well, I can smoke a cigarette, have a drink, brush my teeth, take a shit, and mow the lawn while singing it. But I'll only be doing a couple of those things during this version.”

Nice. O'Canada sounds cool. I'm liking the new heavier psychadelic/ambient movement that's coming around now. Hopefully more and more people will develop the patience and attention span for this type of music.

Agreed. But at the same time i think it's pretty unlikely. There is quite a solid underground instrumental scene taking off though (which is promising)
great forums on both of those sites and i've been turned on to a ton of solid instrumental bands through them.

All time favorites would be Mono and Do Make Say Think
Right now I'd say Caspian (from Beverly, MA!)
and maybe Theta Naught
So many options though
How about you?

Explosions in the sky are absolutely awesome!
Russian Circles are kick-fucking ass!
You guys should check out Ring, Cicada. They are another awesome band. An album called Good Morning, Mr. Good, it was the soundtrack for my to trip to London, ON to see PJ.
Are you too good to tango with the poor poor boys?

Yea I've heard Caspian...good stuff. I also got big into Isis lately....they have some vocals, but I love how they're not at the forefront...they just blend in with the music. All good stuff.
Yeah, i've listened to the new Caspian record "the Four Trees" and it's insanely good!
We're doing a west coast tour with them in April so i'm pretty excited for that as well.
