    a) Rain Dogs
    b) Swordfishtrombones
    c) Mule Variations
    d) Bone Machine
    e) Alice and Blood Money (two discs meant as a whole)

-or try the excellent compilation Beautiful Maladies: The Island Years (single disc comp. put together by Tom himself showcases the best of the Island discs). If this doesn't make you a fan then I don't know...

    Happy DISCovering!!!!
  • bone machine is pretty damn good too.

he's got a live disc from the late 80s I can't recall the name right now, but that was solid as well.

    Rain Dogs is my favorite.
"I try my best to chug, stomp, weep, whisper, moan, wheeze, scat, blurt, rage, whine, and seduce. With my voice I can sound like a girl, the boogieman, a Theremin, a cherry bomb, a clown, a doctor, a murderer. I can be tribal. Ironic. Or disturbed. My voice is really my instrument."
