Right on, have a good time! Remember to post a review and the setlist on here when you get back.

Every time I listen to the Crowes I can't help but have the phrase "saviors of rock n' roll" spring to mind even though they're almost two decades old. There's just something so pure about their music that I rarely find anywhere else.
It's a town full of losers and I'm pulling out of here to win

    Regular plug-in show.

This will be 16 for me I think. I've seen almost every show they've played here since 91.

  • I saw them last night for the first time in Houston and I was really impressed. They sounded great. I loved a lot of their jams but it got a little jam heavy at the end. For me it would have ended better with a couple of hits but that is being picky. The new House of Blues Houston is cool but side balcony seats have a partial obstructed view. I can't understand how a brand new venue is built with seats where you can't see the whole stage. And I'm not talking about a few seats, I'm talking about most of the side balcony seats. If you are not center section, you probably can't see the whole stage. We couldn't see Rich Robinson at all from our seats. So for the last part of the concert we moved to the other side and stood so we could see him. Crazy. Great show, one of the best I've seen. Doesn't touch PJ though of course. I hope to see them again someday.

I hit 13 shows a couple weeks ago down in Miami and the show was quite moving.....
    Conversations getting dull
There's a constant ringing in my ears
Sense of humor's void and numb
    And I'm bored to tears.......

One of the better setlists I've gotten from them. A couple of these songs have only been played once or twice this tour like One Mirror Too Many and Sunflower.

I've heard some of their boots from earlier in the tour where Chris sounded really ragged, but they cancelled some shows and took some time off and he sounded fantastic last night. Luther kicked ass. Rich was solid as always. Man that guy is underrated. He is phenominal.

    Nice Clapton and Dead covers.

I sat next to a couple of Crowes vets that were on show 20 and a couple rookies so that was fun. We talked about seeing them in the old days - The Bomb Factory, The Dallas Music Complex, The Bronco Bowl, The Basement. All those GREAT venues in Dallas that are gone now. Very sad. The Palladium is fantastic though so if you are in Dallas and someone you like is playing there, I really recommend it.

    Set:
    WOUNDED BIRD
    A CONSPIRACY
    HORSEHEAD
    WALK BELIEVER WALK
    GOOD FRIDAY
    ONE MIRROR TOO MANY
    I DON’T KNOW WHY
    WHOA MULE
    POLLY
    OH JOSEPHINE
    MY MORNING SONG
    MOVIN' ON DOWN THE LINE
    SHE GAVE GOOD SUNFLOWER
    REMEDY
    GOODBYE DAUGHTERS OF THE REVOLUTION
    - encore -
    COLD, RAIN & SNOW

  • The Houston set list was strong. A lot of Warpaint which was fine. I got to hear Wiser Time at my first show so asking for more would be greedy. I agree his voice was strong.

    Set List:
    Goodbye Daughters of the Revolution
    Jam > Black Moon Creeping
    Evergreen
    Twice as Hard
    Paint an 8
    Oh Josephine
    Locust Street
    Drivin’ Wheel
    Walk Believer Walk
Young Man, Old Man > Jam
    Movin’ On Down the Line
    Jam > Wiser Time
Jam > Thorn in My Pride > Jam
    Jealous Again
    No Speak No Slave
    Boomer’s Story
