mgmt - "electric feel" ---weird catchy pop stuff

did a search for these guys here and surprisingly nothing showed up. this tune is fucking INSANELY catchy, to me at least... reminds me of those old 80's cheap ass videos i used to watch in the early days of mtv... looks and sounds like something from the past. maybe the bee gees doing a new wave synth disco tune?

good stuff.

    i haven't dug the other tunes i've heard, 'cept that other one that was linked up...not sure if it has enough qualities to grow on me either. reminds me of the early spacebrained flaming lips stuff. not my bag. if this tune is any example of them honing their songcraft in the future, i'm fuckin THERE. this tune is pure gold.

    after a day and a half of "electric feel" on almost constant repeat, it's time to balance it out with High on Fire's latest, "death is this communion." classic heaviness of the highest order. by then Hot Chip's newest should be out and this closet dance freak inside of me can shake it's ass again.
