Saw them at The Independent in San Francisco and The Catalyst (yes, THAT Catalyst) in Santa Cruz. This band MUST be the opening band for you-know-who. I had a thread about this but couldn't find it.
Ben just reached at a whole other level of awesomeness with this new project! Can't wait to get my hands on the new album in May!

Just listening to R7 for the first time right this very moment, "Serve Your Soul." Also heard them do a killer cover of "Good Times Bad Times" and "Purple Rain."

Wish they were coming to the Puget Sound region, Ben Harper kicks ass in concert and this band sounds pretty rock and roll to me.

I saw them in St paul on the get out the vote tour with the Beastie Boys and Tenacious D, I thought they were pretty good even with not knowing any of their songs. They did have the highlight of the whole show when they covered UNder Pressure with the D- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kci-fWUNQ5g I can't believe that was already 3 months ago.

I found a boot of one of their shows and am loving the rock sound....the Purple Rain cover is great. Really looking forward to seeing them in Manchester...

Yeah I just checked out their site yesterday and they are playing some incredible music together! I can't wait for the new album to drop and to see them at Bonnaroo! I read an article in the new Rolling Stone about the album but didn't see 'Purple Rain' mentioned as a track. Does anyone know if this will be on the disc or if it is strictly a live addition? Their version is AWESOME!

i'm listening to the songs on their site right now, they sound great. Ben always puts on an amazing live show, hopefully this project will post some more dates so I can see them somewhere a bit closer to home
