I'm going to the Oct. 14th show at Miss. Nights. Can't wait! I've never seen them before, and I love their new album.
  • First show, that is excellent! I first saw them at the Fillmore in 2002 and fell in love. I know a bunch of people going to the St Louis show, it's going to be a fun crowd! I wish I could stretch my travels a little bit to make that show

going all three nights this week in NYC
"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini (or diet coke) in the other hand, body thoroughly used up, worn out and tired..."
  • i can only go to the last night in NY :( I am positive I am going to miss something really good the first two nights, it's killing me! I hear they are taping all three nights though so at least I will hear what i missed.

Going to catch the Columbus show on a friend's suggestion.
    Never heard them/of them :)
... and the will to show I will always be better than before.
  • I have a feeling Columbus is going to be one of the best shows they do! The Vermont setlist from last night is looking really great though.

    How come?

And should I choose between them and the drive by truckers or go to both?
... and the will to show I will always be better than before.
  • Will be going to see them at 53 Degrees, Preston. One of the most underated bands in UK, never hear anything about them anymore in the music press. Playing very small venues in UK this tour.
    Manchester 4/6/2000

    and then wait 6 years...

Which Gomez album is your favorite? I only have three - How We Operate, Liquid Skin, and Bring It On. How We Operate is my fav. with Liquid Skin being second.
  • Split the Difference all the way. I effing love that album. Catch Me Up is just so awesome.
If I could, think I would give in.

wow, I just watched their performance from Conan on Monday night, and the song they did (track # 2 from their new album) was sounding really good. I really like this band, become more of a fan this year, since a friend introduced me to them last year. They have a really good vibe to them, on their records, and with their lyrics. This song sounds great. I will be giving their latest album another couple of spins, as I have not really gotten into yet.

Waiting for them to come to the Netherlands. Great band!
Why not be mediocre and be the best at it that you can be?
  • i hope you made it to the columbus show, it was a cracker!! I got up and sang for a moment on one of the songs hehe

Went to the show last night in St. Louis, it was awesome! Anyone have the setlist? I checked their website but it's not on there either.

I can't beleive I never heard about these guys until earlier this year when "How We Operate" was released. I'm so glad they came to St. Louis, and I hope they come back.

    Gomez rocks!
