How can you consider Coldplay and Oasis not to be very likable bands? Their hooks make them instantly catchy. Radiohead had some great stuff on The Bends too, cant say the same about the rest though.

If you hate them, please explain yourself. I listened to them in the beginning and then just kinda stopped for awhile during what seems to be a backlash against them but after hearing [them] I went back and listened to the stuff I missed out on and realized that they are actually an amazing band that have constantly produced great music. Do you guys hate them only because of things they said to the media or do you hate their music? If you hate the music, why?
Oh and I dont think Morrissey sings Opera, he listens to it and its not that bad. I like it too! Maybe you saw Hulmerist when moz fans are camping outside for days to see Moz and there is a Opera song in the background.
Well if you are not into that kind of melodies Oh Well... But if you are Open to hear some interesting Lyrics, give it a chance.
Just read...
Morrissey - Break up The Family
The strange logic in your clumsiest line
(It stayed, it stayed) it stayed emblazoned on my mind
You say, break up the family
And let's begin to live our lives
I want to see all my friends tonight
It wasn't Youth, it wasn't Life
Born Old, sadly wise
Resigned (well, we were)
To ending our lives
I'm so glad to grow older
To move away from those awful times
I want to see all my friends tonight
Yes, you found love, but you weren't
At peace with your life
Home late, full of hate
Despise the ties that bind
I'm so glad to grow older
To move away from those younger years
I'm in love for the first time
And I don't feel bad
Let me see all my old friends
Let me put my arms around them
Cause I really do love them
Now does that sound mad ?
Captain of games, solid framed
I stood on the touchline
Hailstones, driven home
In a car - no brakes ? I don't mind
I'm so glad to grow older
To move away from those darker years
Oh, I'm in love for the first time
And I don't feel bad
So wish me luck my friends
Goodbye
So wish me luck again
Goodbye
Wish me luck my friends
Goodbye
Mmm... wish me luck, my friends
Goodbye
Ahh...
Ahh...
The Smiths -Jeane
Jeane
The low-life has lost its appeal
And I'm tired of walking these streets
To a room with a cupboard bare
Jeane
I'm not sure what happiness means
But I look in your eyes
And I know
That it isn't there
We tried, we failed
We tried, and we failed
We tried and we failed
We tried and we failed
We tried
Jeane
There's ice on the sink where we bathe
So how can you call this a home
When you know it's a grave ?
But you still hold a greedy grace
As you tidy the place
But it'll never be clean
Jeane
We tried, we failed
We tried, and we failed
We tried and we failed
We tried and we failed
We tried
Oh ...
Cash on the nail
It's just a fairytale
Oh ...
And I don't believe in magic anymore
Jeane
But I think you know
I really think you know
Oh ...
I think you know the truth
Jeane
Oh ...
No heavenly choir
Not for me and not for you
Because I think that you know
I really think you know
I think you know the truth
Oh ...
Jeane
That we tried, and we failed
That we tried, and we failed
We tried and we failed
We tried and we failed
Oh ...
Oh ...
Jeane
