Yeah...after a decade in the making...you better get the highest remarks from every reviewable source.
Although, I'm sure there will be those who condemn it out of spite.
I look forward to hearing it.

I do have to agree with that statement. It could be a musical masterpiece and someone will dislike it.
I've heard some leaked tracks and they sound good...nothing that will shake the world, but good quality music.

I'll be getting both. I can't wait to spin it!
I wouldn't sweat the Rolling Stone review too much. This is the magazine that gave Mick Jagger's Goddess In The Doorway album 5 stars.

Better than Neon Bible? Better than OK Computer? Better than The Downward Spiral? Better than Heartbreaker?
Wow.
yeah, that'd be me. I can't believe that people still care about it and are taking it seriously.

it did not take 10 years to make this album. for one, he recorded on again off again.
and two, he recorded 3 albums and a E.P. this is just the first of the new stuff, with the last l.p. coming out in 2012 then the e.p. 2013.
its not fair to say, it took him 10 years to make this one album.
and from what ive heard , each album will be better then the one b4 it.

where did you hear this info about the albums getting better as they go along? And also where did you hear that there is an EP?
I've always heard the 3-4 albums worth of material, but not those two things i just mentioned.
well the plan was 3-4 albums. they now have enough songs recorded for 3.5. but never finished the other half of album 4. rumor has it that Axl said enough, lets go with what we have. who knows though, by the year 2013 he may have finished the other half of the record , and go with record 4 instead of the e.p.
Axl himself said in an interview about 2 years ago, that the first album is the more radio friendly of the bunch. but in his opinion they get better as you go. Sebastian Bach ( skid row ) and close friend to Axl said the same thing on the eddie trunk show about a year ago. he said the "big guns" would be on the 2nd and 3rd record. or something to that effect.
