Pearl Jam at Rothbury Festival?

With Bonnaroo confirmed all the rumors and sources of the band playing at ACL & other festivals, I wonder if they may tack on a gig at the new Rothbury Festival. I have a gut feeling this is very doable. You heard it here first ;)

The festival also happens to be very environmentally friendly with a Think Tank, Energy Fair and a pledge to donate $50,000 worth of solar panels to a local school. Right up Stone's alley.

The event will be held July 3-6 in Rothbury, Michigan, about three hours northwest of Detroit. The setting is the Double JJ Ranch, which will offer camping in addition to on-site lodging. Tickets go on sale Feb. 27 via RothburyFestival.com.

would be great, but looks like a pretty organised lineup now... and a pretty good line up as well!
maybe not this year, but another year, it might be right up their alley!
    2003 - Sydney x3,
    2006 - Reading Festival,
2007 - Katowice, London, Nijmegen, Rock Werchter,
    2008 - MSG x2, Hartford, Mansfield x2, Beacon Theater,
    2009 - Melbourne, Sydney,
2010 - I watched it go to fire!
    2011 - EV Brisbane x3, Newcastle, Sydney x3,
    2012 - Manchester x 2, Amsterdam x2, Prague, Berlin x2, Stockholm, Oslo, Copenhagen,
    2014 - Sydney, EV Sydney x3

I wave to all my Friends... Yeah!
  • Another rumor how wonderful. :p

LOL Of course, right...? The very first time I post an actual "rumor" and that other thread pops up.

This is exactly why I don't post any real info when I hear it and keep it in our close circle. Whatev! :D

I still believe this could be a distinct possibility.

If Pearl Jam was going to play this festival wouldn't they be on that list??? They're not playing it... you can keep hoping though.

Jeff (?) also said they were playing the Austin City Limits festival.. and... they're not on the list! So I guess we'll see if your theory proves true or not. But since you say they are not playing it, I guess they aren't.

I don't believe ACL lineup has been announced yet.

This one in MI has been announced... so yea Pearl Jam is not playing it. They don't usually add the headliner at a later date. Sorry.

didn't you just start a thread about hating rumor threads?
Wouldn't it be funny if the world ended in 2010, with lots of fire?

  • don't think pearl jam will be there for obvious reasons, but this sure looks like a great weekend...maybe next year for me

I dont get it. The lineup is out. No PJ. It seems like an awesome lineup, though. Word is Trey will play will Phil and Dave.

I really doubt PJ will play this. They definetly would have been in the intial announcement.

Again, I ask..what harm is there to speculate? I think it's all in good fun. :) Personally I like the idea that there's hope for lots more shows. Some people need to take the stick out of their @$$ and relax.

  • Uhhh...PRIMUS?

I might go just to see them.

the festival lineups in general this year seem to be alot more solid than they have been in the past... and that applies to nearly everyone ive seen... except for rock on the range... other than STP that fest is pure COCK rock!

and i think PJ fans are pumped for the fests after the great time we all had at lolla last year! :D

Because they already announced the bands, and unlikely (or very unlikely) going to add someone like PJ into the mix. They have enough bands to sell 40k tickets.

A3 is on that list...will they play the Soprano's theme over and over to use their time allotment, I wonder...

I'd love to see PJ play at the SunFest on Van Isle...Kim Mitchell played last year, and Trooper the year before - that's HUGE talent! ;)
