Yeh, I'm not too pleased by the group of artists, but eh, whataever, Its more pub for the pumpkins (and apparently its going to be in July SPIN, where they talk with each band about how the pumpkins influenced them, and the mag is going to come with the CD.)

But billy played with jimmy in Zwan, so what made that any less pumpkins than this new lineup?
My thoughts exactly...
But hopefully this album will rock out a lot more. I like the Zwan album, but it's like mellowed out summertime rock and roll, there was nothing down and dirty about it.
If you all stop hitting refresh for just two minutes, I can buy my tickets...

duuuuuuuh. All you 'it's not the pumpkins without J and D!" and "it's just zwan again!" people should think about Billy for a second.
He breaks up the pumpkins in a big bang with a lot of conflict then makes a record. He's been very deliberatley trying not to sound like Smashing Pumpkins since then (and I could even find quotes from Corgan saying that, it's not just infering). He can be himself now and just let it flow.

I just assume that Billy Corgin and Chamberlin miss playing the old SP tunes. They have a huge catalog of awsome songs, and maybe they felt guilty playing them under the name Zwan.

Because that wasnt pumpkins. That was Zwan, billy was in a different frame of mind, and was not ready to bring back the pumpkins, its a completely different vibe.

Oh my, they dropped the leash.

All I'm saying is I like Zwan, but I couldn't stand Billy's solo effort.
But I hope this record comes out sounding like the Pumpkins we all know and love, no matter the line-up...

The sound! They are different bands with different sounds. It will be nothing like Zwan.
