Well I got to see peter frampton for my 2nd time last night at the Winstar Casino in Thackerville, Oklahoma of all places. The show was phenominal once again, and Frampton's guitar work and voice were dead on. Just two hours of magic.
I don't have the exact setlist order (got a gander at a setlist though, milling around for a guitar pick which I didn't get either) we had 3rd row seats in a theater that probably only held anywhere between 700-1000 people.
He played:

Off the hook (the opener)
Signed, sealed Delivered I'm yours (Stevie wonder cover I think)
Lines on my face
Show me the way
All I wanna be is by your side
flying without wings
(3 instrumental songs from finger prints starting with:)
float
Boot it up
Black hole sun (Soundgarden)
I wanna go to the sun
Nassau/ Baby, I love your way
Do you feel like we do (talked about and made fun of Thackerville through the talkbox- hilarious, Happy birthday through talkbox to bass player)
Encore:
I don't need no doctor (from Peter Frampton's humble pie days)
While my guitar gently weeps (The Beatles/ George Harrison)

An AMAZING show. Peter frampton is in my top live acts for sure. I left a blog in my myspace almost idntical to this. Well I hope people enjoy reading this, and I will be picking up his instrumental album fingerprints very soon.
I'm missing one song, it was an instumental, but it's not on finger prints. I cannot fingd this track on an album, I'll keep looking and when I find it, I'll post it's name.

  • Good to hear some positive feedback on Frampton. I've been re-visiting "Frampton Comes Alive" lately and find that I like it as much as I did (what seems like) a gazillion years ago.

"Fingerprints" is indeed a good listen, also!
