Did anyone see/ record their Lolla performance. I hear it was webcasted, and I had to work last night and missed it. :( I hear they put on a hell of a show.

By process of elimination, I figured out which venue the Tallahassee, FL show is going to be at and their response was that they are still in the process to get the show confirmed- nothing is finalized yet. I really hope that the show happens

They are playing a show at Possum Kingdom Lake? That's awesome.

That would be like PJ playing a show in Lukin's kitchen ... :)

Yeah, that is cool. They said they wanted to play a different show that wasn't like a festival or a regular tour gig. It's their 20 year anniversary as a band (Even though offically they only played one offs for several years). I'd love to go, but the lodging is very expensive plus, I have seen the Toadies in a festival setting and it was rough, but then again that was St Pats parade after party. So I guess I knew what I had coming. I miss Dallas so much, it's a great place.

I doubt I'll be going to this ... I'm just curious what the venue is like. Just a stage in the middle of the field, or what?

And who else is gonna be at this festival?

The other bands on the bill are:

    Tejas Brothers
The Backsliders (Not a Toadies cover band, but from their myspace page, I liked what I heard).
    Dove Hunter
and the Lions. The Lions are opening a bunch of dates for their shows.

They also have a show Aug 22nd at the Paladian Ballroom. Not sure if it sold out yet though.

I think hubby and I are going to 11/9 at the Paradise in Boston. That's where it all started for me. 1995? I think Feb? They opened for Bush. Ice storm. Really bad weather but braved it anyways. They were so good I took my now husband to another show in Worcester. And then another back at the Paradise. So excited!

Anyone notice the iTunes Bonus Track? It's a cover of the Cure song "A Forest". Great song; one of my favorite by the Cure. Hopefully somebody will post it on the internets, cause I'm not buying another copy. Can't wait for the vinyl release!

That's how the record companies are making money now days unfortunatley. They add songs to certain releases. When Todd's other band Burden Brothers released "Mercy" there was an itunes bonus of David Bowie's song "Suffregette city" which 2 years later, I have yet to hear.

I bought 2 copies of "No deliverance" today and the album is fucking awesome! I hope to get both signed at the show. I'm sending my best friend in Denton a copy.

I also got my new Exit 380 cd in the mail today, so it's been great to have both new discs to listen too.

You know I'll post a show review for you guys after it happens. I hope to hear "so long lovely eyes" live, damn, that's a balls to the wall rocker right there.

No doubt - Toadies/BB are two of the (many) bands that I collect everything for, so it is what it is, I guess.

Here is the updated list from pollstar. Lukinfan, Looks like those dates are confirmed since pollstar has the venues listed now. I know you said you talked to a venue that said it was pending, so hopefully these are the dates and they leaked early. Edit: Just noticed you were hoping for Tallahassee, hopefully that show does get confirmed. Their management is working on show bookings daily, so when they pass it on to me, I'll pass it here. Hopefully if it is "pending" and considering all the shows in Florida it will be good to go. :D

    Enjoy the shows everyone. :D
