After 3 hours stewing in telemarketing hell, I've come to the conclusion that I was way off base and overly critical earlier today. Yeah, I lost out on both MSG shows, and yeah it was the 3rd and 4th time in a row I was unable to score 10club tix for a local show, but that's really no one's fault but chance and chance alone. No amount of bitching or whining that out-of-towners somehow screwed me over is going to get me the tickets I lost out on. So, in an effort to let the healing begin, I apologize to anyone I had a confrontation with earlier today. I tell ya though, it's a weird feeling. Like a light version of rejection. Most unpleasant.

Wish me luck with tickmaster.

Being disappointed is normal but all you need to do is redirect and move on to plan b. Good luck.

    Good luck and nice apology.

I felt exactly the same way when this new system was first put into place and I was shut out of the Wachovia Center in 05. I was beyond angry for a few hours and then calmed down and everything eventually worked out. I'm sure things will work out for you too.

but there should still be a one show 10C seat limit so we all have a chance to up close. These people who have tickets to 2-3-4 shows aren't helping with their bragging. If I weren't seeing ED in LA on 4/12 I'd be more vocal.

I'd like to think that it was mostly ticketbastard's fault and their f'n demanding policies, cause if it was up to the band, we'd all have tickets.

The other "problem" is that PJ just so happen to be the best band alive

and um the server crashed again...
  • ticket karma exists. i believe in it.

i gave a ticket away last tour around and got a free one in return at another show...if you give it, they will come.

  • Very big of you indeed. Lord knows I've missed out on shows before & said some not-so-pleasant things on here about it. I still think that having the mailing option would be a lot more fair for people with slow connections, no access to a computer, or just plain bad luck, etc. but I guess we just have to learn to live with those days being over...then again, they did listen to us about the random tix, & spreading the sales out, so ya never know. Keep your chin up, & good luck with TM. :)

I've stayed away from the board for the most part today. Can't get to the East this time so had no need to get tickets. My few attempts at lurking found this board to be predictable ugly post MSG.

With all that said I think the OP has some very good karma coming his way. Nice work on this thread.

Going to both Eddie nights in LA, so I'm pretty much over not getting to see the band this summer.

It surely sucks not getting tickets when they are so close.

Good luck and may you get some first row for the MSG.

Thank you for restoring our faith in NYC people! :) We were really appaled by most of the comments by people who think that anyone is more entitled to get any tickets than someone else (be it based on seniority, origin, current place of living or anything else). The world is way too complex and there is just no way to put everyone on the same level (e.g., my wife has been a fan since the very beginning and travelled to Budapest for her first show in 1996, when she was only 18 years old and when it was just one year after we had a war in our country. But, neither she nor I were 10c members then so we do not have seniority for seating, and, frankly, we don't care as long as we are there)! Also, should we be more entitled to come to NYC because we are willing to spend $4000 and travel thousands of miles to see them?!? I mean, that's all a load of crap!

This ticket system is based on luck and perseverance, and it was still better than London 07 when we spent 6 hours refreshing the page.

It is just my impression, based on the 2006 and 2007 tours, but it seems to me that things are very different in Europe. Our experience from both European tours was that noone asked where you were from or what your 10c number was, everyone was just extremely positive and willing to help in any way! So here's to hoping we're gonna have the same experience in NYC!

And see you there long road, since I'm sure you're gonna get some good tix! :)

I hope this doesn't sound sarcastic but is there something that keeps you from being an "out-of-towner" to another show? Come to Columbia..some of us will buy you a beer.

ah columbia's on a weekday and yea, so is MSG, but MSG is a mere train ride away. i meant try for Hartford tho. it's a friday night so it's feasible. still hoping for charity from a pj fan with an extra ticket for MSG 1.
