The Republic Tigers...I saw these guys open for Nada Surf three times last week, and their CD is fucking awesome. It took a few spins, but I really suggest checking these guys out. I met them all and hung with them quite a bit, and they seem really down to earth and passionate about music. a good feeling. check tham out on myspce if you get a second:

There's a song called "the Nerve" which is making me crazy right now, I cant get it outta my head, also "Buildings and Mountains" is super-cool.

    these guys may be the best band out of kc in many years
