Yeah, that's a total shite line-up. I was looking forward to the possibilities, so I'm now suitably disappointed.

Problem is with these type of shows, they are trying to appeal to too many different audiences. I went to Live8 and spent half the day bored silly. I very nearly threw up when Mariah Carey came out dressed like a dirty whore, only to start stroking African orphans half way through - talk about inappropriate! It was kind of funny when Velvet Revolver came out though, and people were like 'wtf is this?!'. I think Weiland's dance moves were a little much for them!

There's still time for other acts to be added - PJ will be in Europe on June 29th....if they hang out for a few days they'll prolly play Wembley, unless they come home straight away to play Giants. I'd love to see them there! Ya never know......;-)

Oh shit, I loved it when Mariah was on. She was totally losing her shit up there- barking at her assistant and all. You could literally see the terror in the children's eyes who were wishing they were back in the relative safety of Africa.

And yeah, VR went over like a lead balloon.

I hope they have more sense than engage in this hypocritical self-promotion exercise!

Steps of the Oriental Pearl Tower in Shanghai
I was just in Shanghai in February and I have to say...the steps of the Oriental Pearl TV Tower would be an interesting place to play a concert!

    Pearl Jam...Pearl Tower...I'm just sayin' :D

Smashing Pumpkins blow everything else away. If I had the money I'd pay for the tickets and drive JUST to see them.

is New Jersey really the best place to administer hope for a better tommorow?

Gore petitioned for the right to play on the Capitol steps (or was it the National Mall?), but Congress shot him down.

I agree, though, that Giants Stadium isn't that inspiring. It's definitely readily available, and that's eventually what made it the next logical choice.

Got my tickets this morning, section 114, which is pretty good considering the size of the place and the price of the tickets. There are a lot of the bands I don't care about, (Kelly Clarkson?) but what the hell, I can always go walk around, grab a drink, just chill out. I just wanted to support Al, and it's a great cause. Pj to show? Never know. No high hopes for that tho.
Thank you fellow 10 clubber for saving my ass....again!!!
