Social Distortion is an amazing band. I have only been into them for about a year and a half or so but they are awesome.
other than story of my life, ball and chain, etc..
    you should check out:
    under my thumb
    prison bound
    dont drag me down
    the creeps
    mommy's little monster
    sick boy
    cold feelings
    down on the world again
    angels wings
    telling them
    let it be me
    reach for the sky
    nickels and dimes
there are so many awesome songs by social d
  • "i was wrong" was the first song i heard from social d. i only have two of their cd's and one from mike ness solo.

the tunes prljam85 mentioned are awesome.

White Light, White Heat, White Trash is a fantastic cd that i would recommend...you'd get a few of the tunes 85 mentioned as well.

That's a good list. Ring of Fire is a must also.
It makes much more sense to live in the present tense.
  • i was wrong

    love that song
Had my eyes peeled both wide open, and I got a glimpse
Of my innocence... got back my inner sense...

Mike Ness's first solo album Cheating at Solitare is a must have too.

Live at the Roxy is a good place to start, great live band, and a lot of classic tracks on that disc.
"You're no help," he told the lime. This was unfair. It was only a lime; there was nothing special about it at all. It was doing the best it could.

Some days you wake up and sit on a park bench next to an eighty year old Russian architect, and some days you don't. I think this is my new life philosophy.

Making Believe, This Time Darlin', Sometimes I Do

Those are all brilliant songs. Or you could just get "Somewhere Between Heaven and Hell." Their best album, in my opinion.
    Sleep on horseback
Far moon in a continuing dream
    Steam of roasting tea

  • Awesome band. "Mommys Little Monster" and "Don't Take Me For Granted" are my favorites. Awesome live show.
    Walking is still honest
  • "99 to life" has always been a favorite of mine.
The Man has a branch office in each of our brains, his corporate emblem is a white albatross, each local rep has a cover known as the Ego, and their mission in this world is Bad Shit.
  • I love this band...I must see them live soon. hard to get tickets though.

Not to mention they are always canceling due to Mike being "sick" or something :)

I got to see them last year. Great show.
