I just want to throw out a huge thanks to the brilliant minds behind this idea. I've always wondered why more bands don't play their albums start to finish at leat at a few shows.

Plus, the bands that are signing up for this series are all fantastic.: Sonic Youth playing Daydream Nation, Slint playing Spiderland, Comets On Fire performing Blue Cathedral, The Melvins perfomring Houdini.

Besides Pearl Jam albums (but wouldn't No Code be sweet!), what albums would you like to see performed in its entirety?

Personally I think it's kind of lame. Might as well just listen to the album. Part of the allure of live music is not knowing what's happening next.

I think there is a lot of potential to release these as live cd's of their counterparts, I for one would buy Daydream Nation on day of release.

I saw Mudhoney do this with Superfuzz Bigmuff and it was amazing. Great night at a great venue.

We had a Don't Look Back season in the UK, last year. John Martyn played a blinding set at The Barbican, doing Solid Air. He mixed up the running order mainly by necessity, because he plays in lots of funny tunings and didn't want to give his guitar techie a hernia carrying axes back and forth. The night was amazing, and John threw in some other old favourites too. He then did a Solid Air tour after the gig, even though he has such a vast catalogue of top notch material to choose from.

I wouldn't mind seeing him play his new album, due sometime soon ...

I do too. Belle and Sebastian did it with If Your Feeling Sinister. I always listen to that in its entirety so it is cool to have the option of studio vs. live.

I would lose my shit if Bob Mould played Workbook.
