amazing band from AUS is returning to the studio in february after an entire year off. just got an e-mail from their fan club. people are going crazy after not getting any PJ updates since December 20. imagine going an entire f-in' year without any news.
if you don't know POWDERFINGER you owe to yourself to check out any record they've put out from "Double Allergic" onward. my wife turned me onto them when we met in AUS 5 years ago.

  • thats good news.
They have a couple of ripper albums
I've seen them a few times and they're a good live act.

I'm not a huge powderfinger fan but I do enjoy their stuff. I was a bit worried when they put out a greatest hits and bernard went solo. Good news they're back in the studio.

I hope Bernard starts to write good lyrics again. Some of his lyrics on Tea and Sympathy are terrible as with their last album Vulture Street.

i acctually thought vulture street was their best album yet. i love how they incorporated blues into their music

  • its a disgrace Jet got more attention in America with one album then what Powderfinger have with their whole career, thats whats wrong with music these days. ive said it before they are Australia's Pearl Jam.

They were supposed to tour the states at the start of '05, and then they went on hiatus...bastards...hopefully they'll do a US tour after their new album comes out.
I saw them at Rod Laver with JBT a couple years back...very good shit, but I'd like to see them in a more intimate setting here in the states where they're not so big.

well as i said they are quite pearl jam like, for me anyway, not heavey rock about as heavey as PJ , the singer is very good he doesnt really scream but sings with alot of passion emotion. alot of they popular songs a ballad like very well structured and great lyrics.

If you've never heard them before start with their album Odyssey #5. Great songwriting and extremely catchy tunes. First time I ever heard them I listened to this album twice in a row and that was it, I was hooked!
E agora? Faz xixi na mão e deita fora!
