Yeah, they play Pearl Jam a lot on radio but where I am, Animal is rare. It's usually the same old Alive, Even Flow, Jeremy, Daughter, Betterman.

I remember hearing Alive a couple of times a few years ago on the way home from work. What show was it on? One of the DJ's Colin Murray is a Pearl Jam fan, Daughter's one of his all time fav songs and Scottish band Biffy Clyro covered it the other week for his birthday, on March 10th actually which is also Jeff A's b'day and mine too. Cool though as your right it's not too oftern they play PJ I'm sure...

    yeah that's pretty rare.

though a few months back, I had the radio on at work, and I heard PJ 3 times in 1 week on XFM! different songs too, though all from Ten

though Zane Lowe is a BIG fan, I don't think he plays any on his show (except the time in 06 when they played 'live')..mind you I tried listening to his show couple of time and the amount of crap he's playing, I gave up very quickly!

If you think that's random, monday night on radio one they played Eddie singing Radio Heads 'Creep'...
  • Up here in the north of ireland we have a local radio station called "cool fm" who about once a year break out "alive", in fact they used to use alive as sort of background music when they were anouncing competitions etc, I've posted about this before but it used to drive me feckin mad! because i'd hear the music, get all excited and turn it up and then they'd pull the plug just before the vocals started!! bastards!!!!!!!

I heard Chris Moyles play "Alive" back about 2 yrs ago as part of Comedy Dave's tenuous link segment. Even funnier though, Back in the late summer Sky Sports done an article on Wayne Rooney coming back from either a suspension or an injury. The piece was about how he was ready to be unleashed again and they played "Animal" as the bedding music!!! I couldn't believe it. Wayne Rooney and Pearl Jam on the same Video clip. amazing stuff

Thats right man! I heard Chris Moyles play it to. After it was over they all agreed that there wasn't enough Pearl Jam on the radio (but they haven't done feck all about!) The thing that made me laugh was one of the guys in the studio said that in the middle of alive Colin Murray came in and said in his big Norn Iron accent "CUT THAT SOLO AND I'LL CUT YER BALLS OFF!" Top man our Colin!
