Okay, I posted a personal summer concert list at the beginning of the summer and got a good response. It's fun to see what shows people are going to and how they vary by state/country. So, here's my Fall line-up...another busy one. I'm always telling myself that I have to cut back on shows but I find it so hard to resist when the tickets go on sale (especially when my friends are going too).

Sept 13: Built to Spill (Henry Fonda)
Sept 18: Clap Your Hands Say Yeah (Troubadour)
Sept 20: New Pornographers (Henry Fonda)
Sept 24: Editors (Wiltern)
Sept 27: Ladytron (Hollywood/Highland)
Oct 1: The Cops (The Knitting Factory)
Oct 6: Morrissey (The Palladium)
Oct 23: Interpol (The Forum)
Nov 3: Rodrigo y Gabriela (Henry Fonda)

That's the only one confirmed for me so far.
"I try my best to chug, stomp, weep, whisper, moan, wheeze, scat, blurt, rage, whine, and seduce. With my voice I can sound like a girl, the boogieman, a Theremin, a cherry bomb, a clown, a doctor, a murderer. I can be tribal. Ironic. Or disturbed. My voice is really my instrument."

  • September 21: Arcade Fire w/LCD Soundsystem
    October 5: The Shins
    October 28: Bridge School (Maybe)

That will be the third time I have seen Arcade Fire and The Shins this year. Nothing else on the agenda for now. Grad school has killed my concert budget.
It makes much more sense to live in the present tense.

Smashing Pumpkins- November 3rd in Dallas (Grand Prairie). I hope it's an awesome show. I've heard some old pumpkins boots and their 1998 Houston show on air and wasn't impressed. Oh well, if anything, another band name to add to my list of shows I have seen.

Maybes: (depending on my work schedule and $)
