    So far:

June: STP (Maybe, I haven't bought tix yet, but considering weilands a ticking time bomb to self destruction, I don't know if I want to risk the money and gamble on weather he will be sober or a train wreck. Had I been at that New Jersey show, I would have been so pissed. So did they end up playing like a 30-45 minute show or did they go over curfew big time?

August: Toadies, I had Tom Petty tickets, but I am going to toadies since they have a new album out. I do love Tom Petty and the heart breakers though, a great live show too. Why did both shows have to be on the same night sign?.... :(
    PJ: 10/14/00 06/09/03 10/4/09 11/15/13 11/16/13 10/08/14
    EV Solo: 7/11/11 11/12/12 11/13/12

    Pearl Jam in June

NIN in September....not shit going on in Utah...it's a shame.

I would go see STP...but it's on June 11th, which is the day I leave for FL to see PJ...(PJ is worth it :) )

AND, I'd like to go to Red Rocks in Colorado and see My Morning Jacket and The Black Keys. That would be amazing because of the bands for one, and also because it's fucking Red Rocks and I have ALWAYS wanted to see a show there ever since I bought Incubus's DVD.

    *sigh*....
    7/2/06 - Denver, CO
    6/12/08 - Tampa, FL
    8/23/09 - Chicago, IL
9/28/09 - Salt Lake City, UT (11 years too long!!!)
    9/03/11 - East Troy, WI - PJ20 - Night 1
    9/04/11 - East Troy, WI - PJ20 - Night 2

I'm pretty sure there was a thread on this a few weeks ago, but what the heck I'll post again - I work hard all year so I can go to a bunch of shows in the summer:

    PJ - Camden 1 & 2
MSG 2 (there's one little wrinkle that might get in the way of this one, but hopefully it gets worked out)
    Hartford
    Mansfield

    The Cure - Radio City
    Warped - Montreal
Rancid - Chicago (night before Lolla)
Lolla - woohoo! NIN, Radiohead, RATM, SAUL WILLIAMS!!!!
    NIN - Toronto, Philly

I think that's the lot as of now, but more could be added.

edit - there's a slight chance of seeing Peter Murphy in NYC. Anyone seen him solo?

    Already saw this year:
    Springsteen, Tiger Army, Saul Williams
    R.i.p. Rigoberto Alpizar.
    R.i.p. My Dad - May 28, 2007
    R.i.p. Black Tail (cat) - Sept. 20, 2008

Nice to see a Saul Williams fan here. Personally, I'm a huge fan of his poetry and actually got to meet him last August backstage before he performed at my school. He looked so nervous while getting ready to perform. My friends tried to get me to talk to him but I only said "hi" when he walked by because I didn't want to throw him off his game.

Yes his shows were awesome! I got into him because of NIN and Trent bringing attention to him, and discovered I liked Saul's work. We saw him in these tiny clubs in Montreal and Toronto with CX Kidtronik. I was delighted to see he'll be at Lolla, and after NIN, he's the artist I most want to see there. I haven't seen a solo show with just poetry - the ones I saw were music. How nice that he performed at your school.

Yeah, it will be a good week in Fla just because there is so much to do to keep us busy while we are there.
My woman and I met on the STP message board in 2003, we are getting married in 4 weeks, and then going to Fla to see the 3 shows in August. It is our honeymoon. We even got the DeLeo's and Kretz to sign one of our wedding invitations last weekend.

Mine isn't too great because of lack of money.
I'll catch a bunch of local acts and bar acts, but not too many nationally touring bands.
June: Pearl Jam (D.C.), Modest Mouse (Rostraver, PA)
August: New American Music Union Festival w/Bob Dylan, the Roots, the Black Keys, Spoon, the Raconteurs, and others (Pittsburgh, PA).

That's about it for now. I'm going to try to catch Petty in Pittsburgh this upcoming Tuesday. I saw DMB last week, and the Yonder Mountain String Band tonight, but other than that, this is pretty much it.

    Still a good summer, though.
