just last weekend we took my kids to their first concert....Dan Zanes!
We have The Police for the 2nd night at Fenway coming up. SO EXCITED!!!!
I might sneak off and go see the White Stripes in Maine on July 22nd.
Only other consideration is Live, The Counting Crows and Collective Soul on 8/17 in Manchester, NH. Kids can go for free so we might make a family night of it.
    Let's Go Red Sox!

Just saw Roger Water at Summerfest July 2nd.

    Still comming up
Chris Cornell @ The Rave July 17th
Lollapalooza @ Grant Park Aug. 3-5
Rage Against the Machine @ Alpine Valley Aug. 24th

PISSED about Velvet Revolver/ AIC not comming to Wisconsin or Chicago. The F'n world doesn't count as it's a 3+ hour drive from Milwaukee and may as well be a gig in Gary, IN or St. Louis. The BETTER play WI, but I doubt the will. Thanks alot. Of all the shows I'm going to I'd rather see this show than any of the other, just my personal prefference. Going to one show and hearing AIC, STP, GNR, and Velvet Revolver stuff would be AWESOME!!!

Mother, mother ocean, I have heard you call
Wanted to sail upon your waters since I was three feet tall
You've seen it all, you've seen it all

Watched the men who rode you switch from sails to steam
And in your belly you hold the treasures few have ever seen
Most of 'em dream, most of 'em dream

Yes I am a pirate, two hundred years too late
The cannons don't thunder, there's nothin' to plunder
I'm an over-forty victim of fate
Arriving too late, arriving too late

I've done a bit of smugglin', I've run my share of grass
I made enough money to buy Miami, but I pissed it away so fast
Never meant to last, never meant to last

And I have been drunk now for over two weeks
I passed out and I rallied and I sprung a few leaks
But I got stop wishin', got to go fishin'
    Down to rock bottom again
Just a few friends, just a few friends

    (instrumental)

I go for younger women, lived with several awhile
Though I ran 'em away, they'd come back one day
    Still could manage to smile
Just takes a while, just takes a while

Mother, mother ocean, after all the years I've found
My occupational hazard being my occupation's just not around
I feel like I've drowned, gonna head uptown

    Coda:
I feel like I've drowned, gonna head uptown
  • For those that don't have as much money (nor time), I am going to one show as of now, and that's The White Stripes July 23rd at Agganis Arena, Boston.

Looking like a big goose egg.........this town sucks for shows in the Age of Clear Channel.

I saw the White Stripes last Friday. Next week I'm seeing The Tragically Hip at Marymoor Park in Seattle, and later this month I'll be seeing Neko Case at the Calgary Folkfest. That's about it for now.

    I second this.

    Mine are:

    Confirmed
Jason Isbell - end of July
    Lolla - a few weeks.

Unconfirmed (no tix yet) - but really hoping to attend:
Roger Waters - July 14th (if that doesn't work out Gogol Bordello in Det for sure that night)
DMB hopefully this summer - no tix yet : (
2nd day of V fest to catch the pumpkins

Then I'll probably save my concerts cash for a PJ road trip next year and Bonnaroo 08'!
