I want my $26 dollars back..

You open up the cellophane and read the inside cover only to learn from the bylines that Morrison is stinking drunk the whole performance.

Disc # 3 pretty much consists on nothing more than crowd noise after the venue turned the power off.

My advice:

DO NOT BUY THIS CD..

ITS A RIPPOFF!

Are you crazy? This album is a gem. Part of what made Jim so great was the unpredictability of his live performances. You get to experience first hand the volatility and wild suspense of the Jim Morrison live show. It's fantastic. Granted, if you're not really a Doors fan, you won't appreciate it. But if you're into everything the Doors represented, you'll get a kick out of this album.

If it only came with the DVD so you could see him mess his pants and roll around on the stage, then it would be worth your 26 bucks.

I can't believe that A: they would market a concert where they shut the power off and you only get the "raw" crowd noise for an entire disc. And B: that there wasn't a review that you could have read about this disc before you purchased it.

I know what you are saying my friend as I do the impulse buy at the record stores. But......I haven't even read or seen a review on this disc and usually, not always, but most of the time they have a review before the album/disc hits that street. Just saying. :)

But if you ever see a Doors live album from the 2000 or 2001 or whatever that was with the Ashbury singing, pick it up. That show rocked.

    HAHAHAHAAHHAHAHAH!

yeah right "if you're not really a Doors fan"..

I am a huge Doors fan..that's why I shelled out $26 site unseen.

don't use that crap as an argument.

the only thing redeemable on the entire three disc set is "when the music's over" from the early set.

the rest of the concert is garbage performance wise..in my opinion...

I just researched Amazon and bought "live in detriot".

seems that's the one that gets all the thumbs up!

Settle down. Jesus. It's just opinoin, like you say. In my opinion, anyone who appreciates evrything that encompasses the Doors will enjoy this album.

If you just want a glossy overproduced live album, I would recommend Absolutely Live. If you don't like the Boston show, I don't see how you can call yourself a Doors fan. For better or worse, that's what the Doors were.

Honestly? Yeah. I mean, this is what the Doors sounded like more often than on the glossy sound you're looking for. You like the image of what you wanted the Doors to be, not what they actually were. That's what I'm saying. This disc is what the Doors were.
